Bach’s powerful Fifth Suite to David Sanford’s anguished response to the attacks of 9/11 and Franghiz Ali-Zadeh’s spiritual masterpiece "Oyan! (Awakening)." He is then joined by the newest member of the quartet, first violinist Andrea Segar, for Zoltán Kodály’s rhapsodic and passionate "Duo."

    Two brothers from two of Europe’s premier orchestras come to Musicfest.  Vienna Philharmonic violinist Christoph Koncz (Musicfest ‘13) along with his brother, Stephan, a cellist with the famed Berlin Philharmonic, join with pianist Bryan Wallick to perform Beethoven’s outstanding “Triple Concerto.” The evening’s second half is filled with the glorious sounds of the brilliant Festival Orchestra paired with the massive sounds of the largest pipe organ in Arizona (5,067 pipes!).  Experience this exciting collaboration when the evening’s full forces, under the direction of Maestro Robert Moody, perform Saint-Saens’ triumphant Organ Symphony.

The performance will feature stars from the famed Metropolitan Opera, including Carl Tanner and Gordon Hawkins, along with the Arizona Musicfest Festival Chorus.
